Woops...
This is the rear spar of the left elevator. The trim tab gets attached there. I had accidentally started dimpling the top of this particular piece (shown on the bottom here for clarity). Boo boo...actually, the elevator skin gets dimpled, and that dimple fits into a COUNTERSINK on this piece. The trim tab hinge then sits on the bottom. No biggie...I just flattened it out with a flush set, and life is good. Also, notice the little hole I drilled for the safety wire that holds the trim tab hinge pin in place.
